Ras Al Khaimah is the northernmost major emirate, with beaches, mangroves and the Hajar Mountains. Jebel Jais is the UAE's highest peak, with the world's longest zipline. It is cheaper and quieter than Dubai and popular for resort stays. It fits a trip as a beach and adventure break after or before Dubai, and it works best with a rental car.
