Give Leura one full day and one night: village shops and a cliff lookout on foot, then Katoomba or Wentworth Falls by train the next morning.
Leura is a small Blue Mountains village at about 985 m, one stop before Katoomba on the Blue Mountains Line and roughly two hours by train from Sydney Central. The main street, Leura Mall, holds the shops, cafés and restaurants; the lookouts sit at the end of the side streets, a short walk or drive away. Most visitors see the village in half a day and use it as a quieter base for the bigger walks at Katoomba and Wentworth Falls.

The village is walkable: Leura station to the far end of Leura Mall is about 15 minutes on foot. Trains run up and down the line roughly hourly and Leura is one stop before Katoomba. Local CDC buses (685, 690K, 695) link Katoomba station and Leura. A hop-on hop-off trolley loops Katoomba and Leura sights; buy the day pass from the driver or the Katoomba shop (check current price).
