Most travellers see it as a day trip from Rochester, about 25 mi away.

The Latter-day Saints sites are 2–4 mi south along country roads with no sidewalks: drive or bike, don't plan to walk. RTS runs a commuter bus from Rochester twice daily on weekdays, timed for workers, not visitors.
