Trikora is a long run of numbered beaches on Bintan's east coast, roughly 33–55 km north of Tanjung Pinang. Trikora Four is the best-known stretch, next to the Bintan Resorts boundary. It is a low-key local day-trip and weekend beach, not a resort strip: basic bungalows, kelong-style rooms, seafood shacks, strong tides and almost no nightlife. One or two nights is enough unless you are here to kite, fish or island-hop.

Getting around
No public transport along the beach road. Rent a scooter (about Rp 100,000–150,000/day) or hire a car with driver (about Rp 200,000–400,000/day) through your guesthouse. Taxis are scarce and expensive from the Bintan Resorts side; most people arrive from Tanjung Pinang. Bring a bicycle on the ferry if you want to ride the coast.

Safety
- Tides swing hard: a good beach in the morning can be mudflat by afternoon.
- Swimming is banned during the monsoon — the surf gets dangerous.
- Cash only in most places; the nearest ATMs and shops are in Tanjung Pinang or Kawal.
- Alcohol is limited to what resorts stock; buy in Tanjung Pinang if you want it.
- Scooter riding here is on the left with patchy lighting and stray dogs: check your insurance covers you.
