Saki (also spelled Shaki) is a Yoruba town in northern Oyo State, roughly 1 h 50 min by road from Ibadan and close to the Ofiki River headwaters. It is a working market town, not a resort: one palace, three weekly markets and a handful of basic hotels. Come for a night if you are already crossing this part of Oyo State; do not build a trip around it.

Taxis and motorcycle taxis (okada) are the only practical ways to move inside town. Taxis run about ₦250–500 per hour if you hire one and haggle; okada drop-offs about ₦70–250 per trip. Roads are unlit at night, so agree the fare before you get in and keep trips short after dark.
