Haría is a palm-filled village in the green north of Lanzarote, and the municipality covers the whole north end of the island: the César Manrique house-museum, the lava tunnels and caves along the east coast, the cliff lookouts, and the Órzola ferry to La Graciosa. There are no chain hotels and no beach resort strip, so it works as a quiet base for 1–2 nights with a car, or as a half-day stop on a north-island drive. Without wheels the buses are too infrequent to cover the sights.

Getting around
You need a car: buses link Haría with Máguez and the coast but run only every 2 h, so they are useless for stringing sights together. Roads are good; the LZ-1 runs north from Arrecife to Órzola with an inland branch at Arrieta for Haría. Cycling is possible but gradients are steep and the Atlantic wind is constant.

Safety
- Bus 7 and 26 run about every 2 h and Bus 9 only four times daily: missing one costs you hours.
- Cueva de los Verdes and Jameos del Agua are timed-entry CACT sites; buy online in high season or queue.
- The non-show lava caves (Jameo la Puerta Falsa and beyond) need stout boots, reliable torches and at least one companion; tell someone your plan.
- Playa del Risco has no water, shade or facilities and a rough 400 m cliff descent; strong west wind makes the breakers dangerous.
- Playa de la Cantería is often windy with strong currents further out.
