Morillon is a small Giffre valley commune of about 500 year-round residents, 20 km from Cluses station and 55 km from Geneva airport. A gondola links the village to the Grand Massif ski area, and the same lift serves summer hikers. There is one hotel in the village; most beds are rented chalets and apartments, so a car or a booked transfer matters more here than in a city.

Getting around
The village is small enough to walk end to end. For the valley, ski buses and the gondola cover winter; in summer a car is the practical way to reach trailheads, rafting put-ins and neighbouring villages. Cluses station is 20 km away with a shuttle or taxi link.
