Cambridge sits where Interstates 70 and 77 meet, about an hour east of Columbus and two hours south of Cleveland, which makes it a practical overnight rather than a destination. Its real draw is glass: the town made Cambridge Glass, Boyd and Mosser ware, and the National Museum of Cambridge Glass keeps that story. Downtown is small and walkable; the hotels cluster at the Southgate Parkway exits.

A car is the practical choice: sights, hotels and The Wilds are spread along the interstates and county roads. Downtown itself is walkable in 15–20 min end to end. SEAT runs a local bus line; Greyhound stops at a gas station on Southgate Parkway for longer legs.

Safety

A small, low-crime town; the real risks are interstate winter driving, deer on county roads at dusk and long gaps between services on the back roads.
  • Winter ice on I-70 and I-77 is the main hazard; keep daylight driving hours in Jan–Feb.
