Its main draws are the Des Lacs National Wildlife Refuge, the historic Danish Mill and the annual Goosefest hunting festival. With a private car you can reach the sights in under an hour, making a half‑day visit feasible. Overnight stays are useful only for festival timing or as a base for exploring nearby Bowbells and Minot.
