Scott's Head
Day-trip from Roseau: 1 hour each way, hike the pinnacle for the view, snorkel the crater bay. Not a base — no need to stay overnight.
Scott's Head is a tiny village on Dominica's southwest tip, perched on an ancient volcanic crater. The main draw is the underwater crater bay — snorkel or dive a 160 m coral-lined hole — and the short hike up the pinnacle for a view that reaches Martinique. Everything fits in a half-day trip from Roseau; there's no reason to sleep here.
