Balik Pulau
Spend a half‑day exploring farms and waterfalls; add a night if you want a relaxed rural stay.
Balik Pulau is Penang's back‑country town with rice paddies, fruit farms and a few nature spots. It is reachable by bus from George Town in about 1 h, and the centre is walkable. A guided bike tour (30 min) covers the main sights, so a single day is enough for highlights; an overnight lets you enjoy sunset at the coast and a slower pace.
