Jalajala
Skip Jalajala unless you want a quiet rural escape or to hike Mount Sembrano: a day-trip from Manila is tight (2+ hours each way), so plan an overnight if you go.
Jalajala is the most distant town in Rizal from Metro Manila, sitting at the tip of a peninsula on Laguna de Bay. It is the least populated town in the province and one of the last rural bastions in Rizal. Most visitors come for the hike up Mount Sembrano (745 m) or for the quiet lakeside setting. The town has no chain hotels or major sights beyond the church and a dragonfruit farm.
