Santa Clara is a small South Bay city that holds two things worth a trip: the 1777 Mission Santa Clara de Asís on the Santa Clara University campus, and Levi's Stadium, home of the San Francisco 49ers. Between them sit the Intel Museum, a free art museum and a seasonal amusement park. It is a car-first, low-rise tech suburb, not a walking city, and most travellers see it as a half-day or an event night inside a wider Bay Area trip.
