Bukit Gambir
Skip unless you have a specific reason to stop: a half-hour drive-by for the mosque and market, or an overnight if you need a cheap bed on the North-South Expressway.
Bukit Gambir is a small agricultural town in Tangkak District, Johor, about 25 km from Muar. It has a mosque, a public market and a supermarket, plus two budget hotels. Most travellers pass it on the expressway without stopping.
