Dededo

Spend a half‑day in Dededo for parks, trails and local food; one full day if you want golf or a wildlife‑refuge visit.

Dededo is Guam's most populous municipality, located on the northern coral plateau. It offers easy‑access parks, a golf course, beaches and the Ritidian wildlife refuge, all within a short drive from the airport. Because attractions are spread out, a half‑day covers the main sights, while a full day lets you add the golf club or the northern refuge.

Rules in force · 6
  • Oceania ↗Oceania's island states guard their farms and reefs at the border: tick 'yes' on the arrival card for any food, plant, animal product, soil or used outdoor gear, and let the officer decide.
  • Oceania ↗Across the tropical South Pacific, cyclones are possible from November to April: choose insurance that covers weather delays and keep one spare night before a long-haul departure.
  • Micronesia ↗Micronesia runs on a handful of weekly flights, so one cancellation can cost several days: build slack into every connection between islands.
  • Guam ↗US entry rules apply: visitors need a US visa, ESTA under the US Visa Waiver Program, or eligibility for the Guam–CNMI Visa Waiver Program. Check US Customs and Border Protection for your passport; the Guam–CNMI waiver does not allow onward travel to the rest of the US.
  • Guam ↗Guam is outside the US customs territory: complete the Guam customs declaration on arrival and declare food, plants and animal products.
  • Guam ↗Drive on the right, as in the mainland US; a valid foreign licence is accepted for short visits.

Entry rules depend on your passport. Full visa guide
