Mondorf-les-Bains is Luxembourg's thermal spa town, 20 km southeast of the capital on the Moselle side of the country. The draw is the Domaine Thermal complex (36 °C source water, saunas, mud treatments) plus a small aviation museum and Casino 2000. There is no train station; buses 175 and 177 run from Luxembourg City and Remich, and all national public transport is free. Most travellers come for a spa afternoon or a single overnight, not a multi-day base.

Safety

Very safe: a small spa town with low street crime. The real risks are the last bus back if you stay late at the casino, slippery spa floors, and summer sun at the outdoor pools.
  • No train station: buses only, and late-evening services thin out — check the last departure before a spa evening.
  • Spa and sauna entry is timed and priced by zone; book treatments ahead in summer and around holidays.
  • Casino 2000 runs 10:00–04:00; bring ID and expect a dress code in the restaurants.
