Newport is the central Oregon coast's biggest town and its most complete stop: a working bayfront, two lighthouses, the state's largest aquarium and a brewery campus, all within about 10 minutes of each other by car. It is a wet, cool, drive-in destination — US-101 runs through it and US-20 ends here — so plan around rain and a car, not around a checklist. Two nights covers it; three if you want a beach day or a day trip.
