Babolsar
Half a day to one night is enough: walk the riverfront, cross the suspension bridge, eat Caspian fish. Not a base for the region.
Babolsar is a small Caspian beach town in Mazandaran province, 235 km north of Tehran. Its main draw is the Babolsar Suspension Bridge, the first vehicle suspension bridge in Iran, plus a riverfront promenade, boat rides and seafood. Most travellers pass through on a Caspian coast road trip or stop for a swim.
