Tobrukطبرق

Half a day to see the war cemeteries and the port; not a base. One night if you need to break a coastal drive.

Tobruk is a port city on Libya's eastern coast, best known for the Siege of Tobruk (1941) and its two Commonwealth war cemeteries. The city itself has few other sights and limited services. Most travellers pass through on the coastal road between Benghazi and the Egyptian border, stopping for a couple of hours at the cemeteries.
