Les Éboulements is a scattered Charlevoix municipality of about 1,300 people, made up of the main village, Saint-Joseph-de-la-Rive on the river, and several hamlets along Route 362. It sits inside the Charlevoix crater, with the 768 m Mont des Éboulements above it, and it is the ferry gateway to Île aux Coudres. Most travellers see it as a scenic half-day between Baie-Saint-Paul and La Malbaie; one night turns it into a slow, quiet stop.

Getting around
A car is close to essential: the municipality is spread over roughly 10 km of coast and hills, and buses do not serve the hamlets. Route 362 (Route du Fleuve) links Baie-Saint-Paul to La Malbaie along the river; Route 138 is the faster inland road via Saint-Hilarion. The Grande-Côte down to Saint-Joseph-de-la-Rive drops about 213 m over 2.1 km — low gear in winter. The Île aux Coudres ferry is a short drive from the village core. Taxis exist but are limited; book ahead for evenings.
