Asmat
Spend 2–3 days in Asmat to see the museum, village canoe trips and woodcarving, then fly back via Timika.
Asmat is a remote regency in southwest Papua, accessed via Timika. Its main attractions are the Asmat Museum, traditional woodcarving villages and river travel by canoe. With limited transport, 2–3 days allow a museum visit, a guided canoe tour and a night in Agats before returning.
