Škofja Loka
Half-day trip from Ljubljana: 45 min by bus, see the medieval core and castle, then return. One night only if you want to hike Lubnik or the Selška valley.
Škofja Loka is Slovenia's best-preserved medieval town, 20 km northwest of Ljubljana. Its compact old town, castle and riverside setting make it a straightforward half-day add-on to a Ljubljana stay. The bus runs every 15–30 min on weekdays.
