Mkpat-Enin is a local-government town in Akwa Ibom State, about 185 m above sea level, with a population around 178,000 (2006 census). It sits in an oil-and-gas belt and has forest reserves, but no developed tourism. Most travellers pass through on the way to Uyo or Ikot Abasi.
