Mont-Saint-Bruno is a Monteregian hill park on Montréal's south shore, run by Sépaq and open year-round. One day covers the walking; winter adds groomed cross-country ski trails, snowshoeing and evening skiing on Wednesdays to Fridays. The park has no accommodation, so you sleep in Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville or Longueuil and come in by car or the winter weekend shuttle.

Getting around

On foot or on skis inside the park: about 30 km of hiking trails and 35 km of groomed winter trails, with two heated relays. By car you reach the service centre at 330 rang des Ving-Cinq Est. The RTL 299 SkiBus runs from Longueuil-Université-de-Sherbrooke metro on winter weekends only — check the current season's dates.

Watch out

Safety

A well-used provincial park with no real crime risk. The hazards are weather and terrain: icy trails, thin lake ice, fast temperature drops and deer that walk right up to people.
  • No accommodation inside the park: book a bed in Saint-Bruno, Longueuil or Boucherville.
  • Ski and snowshoe rental needs a reservation at least 24 h ahead — call +1 450-653-7544 (≈ US$5,500).
  • Deer, raccoons and squirrels are common and approach people: do not feed them.
  • Winter trails close at 21:00 on evening-ski nights; check snow cover before a night session.
  • Parking fills on fall colour weekends and on ski Saturdays: arrive before mid-morning.
