Idaho Falls is the commercial hub of Eastern Idaho, a small city on the Snake River about 100 mi from both Grand Teton and Yellowstone. Most travellers use it as a bed-and-supply stop before the parks; the river greenbelt, Museum of Idaho and a handful of local restaurants justify a full day if you are already passing through.
