Beavercreek is Greene County's largest city and a Dayton suburb of about 47,000 people, built around Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and two shopping centres. Almost everyone comes for one free museum — the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force, the oldest and largest military aviation museum in the world, with more than 360 aircraft and missiles. Everything else is malls, chain restaurants and a bike trail. There is no bus service, so a car is the difference between a good stop and a stranded one.

Getting around
By car, full stop: the city has no bus service and the museum sits inside Wright-Patterson AFB, 10–15 min from the Fairfield Commons hotels. Rideshare exists but waits can run 15–25 min outside the mall corridor. The Creekside Trail bike path runs over 15 miles from Xenia to Eastwood MetroPark in Dayton, with a hub at Beavercreek Station (39.72395, -84.05920) that has year-round restrooms and a bike fix station.
