Liperi is a small municipality in North Karelia, 15 km west of Joensuu. Its main draws are a 19th-century brick church and a car museum in Ylämylly. Most travellers pass through on Highway 9 between Joensuu and Kuopio. The town itself has a few restaurants and basic accommodation, but Joensuu offers more options for food and sleep.
