North Attleborough is a Route 1 retail town of about 31,000 people between Providence and Boston, with exits from I-95 and I-295. It has almost no sightseeing: a 1790 boundary marker, a historic main street, a mall, a bowling alley and a cinema-pub. Travellers use it for cheap motels near Gillette Stadium events, or as a half-day break on a Providence–Boston drive. Two nights is the ceiling; most people pass through.

A car is the practical choice: sights, malls and motels sit 2–5 km apart along Route 1 with no useful sidewalk in places. GATRA buses stitch the town to Attleboro and Plainville, roughly hourly on weekdays, but routes are built for commuters, not visitors. MBTA commuter rail stops in South Attleboro, about 3 km south; from there trains run to Providence and Boston.
