Natividade
Half a day to one night: see the colonial core, mining tunnels and the unfinished church; skip if you have less than 3 hours.
Natividade is a small 18th-century mining town in Tocantins, 218 km from Palmas. Its main draws are the Old Governor's Palace, the ruins of Nossa Senhora do Rosário dos Negros church, and slave-dug mining tunnels in the Príncipe district. Most visitors pass through in half a day or stay one night on the way to Jalapão.
