Port-Salut

One night is enough for the beach and a meal; two if you want to do nothing but swim and read. Day-trip from Les Cayes is tight but possible.

Port-Salut is a quiet coastal town in Southern Haiti with some of the island's best beaches. It has a handful of hotels and restaurants but remains largely undiscovered by international tourism. There is no public power — everything runs on generators. Most travellers come for the beach and stay one or two nights.
