The centre is walkable in 10 minutes end to end. For Fountains Abbey use Dales Bus 139 (Mon, Thu, Sat only, about 15 min) or drive the B6265. Dales Bus 159 runs to Masham, Jervaulx, Middleham and Richmond Mon–Sat. No railway station: Harrogate is the nearest, then bus 36.
