Seaspray
Go for 1–2 nights if you want a flat, patrolled beach and nothing else; skip as a day trip from Melbourne (3 h 30 min each way).
Seaspray is a small holiday town on the Ninety Mile Beach in Central Gippsland, about 3 h 30 min by car from Melbourne. It has one patrolled surf beach, a general store, a surf-club bistro and a caravan park. There is no fuel, no taxi and no town bus. Come for a beach weekend, not for sightseeing.
