Covington sits on the south bank of the Ohio River, directly across the Roebling Suspension Bridge from downtown Cincinnati. It is the largest city in the Northern Ohio River Region and shares Cincinnati's skyline, transit and airport, but keeps Kentucky's lower hotel taxes and looser bar rules. Most travellers use it as a cheaper bed for a Cincinnati trip; two nights covers the riverfront, Mainstrasse and one Cincinnati day.
