Warri
Give Warri 1–2 nights only if you have a reason to be in the Delta: oil business, family, or the mangrove park. With no specific purpose, treat it as optional and check onward road links before you commit.
Warri is an oil and port city on the Warri River in Delta State, about 2 million people in Greater Warri, and one of the country's petroleum centres. There is little conventional sightseeing: the draws are the Falcorp Mangrove Park and Mini Zoo, the Nana Living History Museum at Koko, the riverside markets and jetties, and the food and lounge scene around Effurun and Osubi. Most travellers pass through for work or family; a leisure visitor needs one full day, two at most, and should plan around the rain, which peaks from June to October.

Keke napep (three-wheelers) and shared minibuses are the default and cheap; agree the fare before you board. Taxis and ride-hailing exist but coverage is patchy. For the mangrove park or Koko, hire a car and driver for the day, or go by boat from the Warri riverside jetties with a local operator.
