Culver City is a small, walkable Westside city 5 km inland from the ocean, built around a compact downtown of restaurants and two historic studio lots. It works as a quieter, cheaper base for Santa Monica, Venice and LAX than the beach cities, and most of what you came for sits within a 15-minute walk of the Expo Line station. One full day covers the museums and downtown; two nights let you add the Baldwin Hills overlook and a studio tour.

The Metro Expo Line (E Line) stops at Culver City station, about a 5-minute walk from downtown, with trains to Santa Monica and Downtown LA. Culver CityBus lines 1, 3 and 6 cover Venice Beach, Century City/UCLA and LAX; fare is $1 with TAP card. Downtown itself is walkable end to end in about 15 minutes.
