Harrison Hot Springs is a village of fewer than 2,000 people at the south end of Harrison Lake, about 1.5–2 hours by road from Vancouver. The draw is the hot springs water, the beach and the lake itself; the village is compact enough to walk end to end in 15 minutes. Most visitors come for one night, or pass through on the way to Hope and the Fraser Canyon.

Walk. The village is compact and Esplanade Avenue and Hot Springs Road cover nearly everything. BC Transit route 71 runs to Chilliwack's downtown exchange Monday–Saturday, with Sunday service added July to early September. Taxis: Cheam Taxi and Chilliwack Taxi. A car helps for Sasquatch Provincial Park and day trips.

A small, low-crime resort village; the real risks are cold lake water, unmarked trail junctions on the Harrison Grind and summer wildfire smoke. 911 works everywhere.
  • Summer weekends fill up: book rooms weeks ahead and expect beach crowds.
  • The public hot pool has variable hours: check before you go.
  • The gravel road to Deer Lake and Hicks Lake has potholes; fine for 2WD in dry weather.
  • Wildfire smoke can hit the Fraser Valley in Jul–Aug: check air quality before a lake day.
