Bozel is a working Savoyard village in the Tarentaise, 15 minutes by road from Moûtiers and within reach of the Courchevel and 3 Vallées lifts. It is a bed base, not a sight base: you sleep here, cheaper than in the resorts, and drive or ride up to the snow or the trails. Two or three nights covers a ski weekend or a short summer walking stay; one night only works if you are passing through the valley.

Getting around

A car is the practical choice: the valley road links Bozel to Moûtiers (about 15 min) and up to Champagny and Pralognan. In winter a shuttle is reported between Bozel and Courchevel in about 15 min, but it is seasonal — check current operation and times with the tourist office. Line T6 (Moûtiers–Bozel–Champagny–Pralognan) is the public bus, but it runs a thin weekday timetable outside the season, so check times before you rely on it.
