KCK is car country: I-70, I-35 and I-435 ring the city and almost every sight has a free car park. RideKC buses run the core, and the streetcar runs on the Missouri side only. Budget a car or rideshares; a cross-metro trip is 15–30 min.

KCK's tourist pockets are calm; the risks are a quiet downtown after dark, fast interstate traffic and summer heat. Lock the car and keep to lit blocks.
