Lospalos
Use Lospalos as a base for the eastern end of Timor-Leste: one night to reach Tutuala and Jaco Island, or a longer stay to explore Nino Konis National Park.
Lospalos is the main market town in the far east of Timor-Leste, a staging post for the drive to Tutuala and Jaco Island. The town itself has a few colonial-era buildings and a daily market, but the real draw is the surrounding landscape: limestone caves, forest trails and the coast. Most travellers pass through for one night on the way to the eastern tip.
