Hammock Beach
Go for 2 nights if you want a quiet beach base with a resort pool and golf; skip it if you want a walkable town — there is none.
Hammock Beach is a half-mile-wide strip of Flagler County coast between the Matanzas River (Intracoastal Waterway) and the Atlantic, on FL-A1A north of Flagler Beach and south of Marineland. It is not a town with a centre: it is a resort and residential strip where you drive to the beach access, the marina and dinner. Two nights covers the beach, the Mala Compra plantation site and Marineland; a third night is for golf or kayaking.

Getting around
A car is effectively required. FL-A1A runs north–south along the barrier and Palm Coast Pkwy crosses the Intracoastal to Palm Coast; there is no useful local bus. Distances are short in km but there are no footpaths between the resort, the beach access points and Marineland.
