Oudtshoorn is the ostrich capital of the world and the main town of the Little Karoo, on the R62 between the Garden Route and the Karoo. Its two anchors are the Cango Caves, about 30 km north of town, and the show farms along the same road. It works as a 2-night stop on a Garden Route or Route 62 drive, not as a destination on its own.
