Otjozondjupa is the cattle-and-corridor region of central Namibia: the B1 runs Windhoek–Okahandja–Otjiwarongo–Otavi, the B8 branches at Otavi for Grootfontein and Rundu. Most travellers cross it in a day on the way north. It earns one or two nights for the Hoba meteorite, the Waterberg Plateau and Gross Barmen's hot springs, and it is the last place with full services before the remote north-east. West of the B1 is developed for tourism; east of it is mostly farmland and bush with basic facilities.
