Oroquieta

Oroquieta is a one-night stop for the Inug-og Festival or as a quiet provincial base between Ozamiz and Dipolog. Half a day covers the plaza and market.
Oroquieta is the capital of Misamis Occidental but remains a small town with a relaxed pace. Most travellers use it as a transit point between Ozamiz and Dipolog, or to attend the Inug-og Festival in January. The main draw is the provincial feel, a few local eateries and budget lodgings.
