Northern Dobruja is two trips in one region: a 60 km sand-and-resort strip around Constanța, and the Danube Delta wetlands reached from Tulcea, 2 hours north. They are far enough apart that you pick one as your base and day-trip the other end only if you have a spare day. Sleep in Constanța for city food and year-round life, Mamaia for resort hotels on the sand, Tulcea for delta boats and birdwatching. August prices and crowds peak; June and early September give the same beach at lower cost.
