Wayamba is two trips in one province. Inland is the 13th–14th century kingdom belt around Kurunegala — Yapahuwa, Panduwasnuwara, Dambadeniya — reached by the Northern line and the A6. The coast is flat lagoon and beach country from Waikkal up to Kalpitiya and Dutch Bay, reached by the Puttalam line and the A3. Most first trips pass through on the Colombo–Anuradhapura run; stop only if rock fortresses or kitesurfing lagoons are on your list.

The province is a through-route, not a destination cluster: sights are 30–90 minutes apart by road and public buses are slow.
