Nipawin
Go for one night if you fish, golf or camp on Tobin Lake; otherwise skip — it is 2.5–3 h by car from Saskatoon with no scheduled flights.
Nipawin is a town of about 4,400 on the Saskatchewan River, between Tobin and Codette Lakes in northern Saskatchewan. It is a fishing, boating, camping and golf base rather than a sightseeing town. Most travellers come for the lake, the regional park and the river crossings, and stay one or two nights on the way to Prince Albert or The Pas.
