Mungkid
Skip Mungkid as a destination: use it as a transit point for Borobudur or Magelang, not a stop of its own. A half-day is more than enough if you pass through.
Mungkid is the capital of Magelang regency, a small market town about 10 km from Magelang and 30 km from Yogyakarta. It has no major sights beyond the daily Blabak Market and serves mainly as a transport junction for Borobudur. Most travellers pass through in under an hour.
