Mumbai rewards families who split the day: outdoor mornings, indoor afternoons. The national park, the sea front and the beaches are the easy wins; the science and aquarium stops cover heat and rain.

Book the Elephanta ferry only if your children are comfortable on boats and you start early — the crossing and island steps take most of a morning.

Most family sights sit on three axes: the western suburbs (Borivali, Juhu, Gorai), the Worli–Marine Drive seafront, and the Fort–Colaba south end. Group by axis to avoid crossing the city twice in one day.
