Mayrhofen is the main base in the Ziller Valley, with two ski lifts in the village and free ski buses to the rest of the valley, including the Hintertux glacier. Get around
The village is walkable end to end in under an hour. Free ski buses link Mayrhofen with the other Ziller Valley lifts, including Hintertux. The Zillertalbahn narrow-gauge train runs down the valley to Jenbach, where it connects with ÖBB mainline trains.
