Masjed Soleymanمسجدسليمان
Give Masjed Soleyman half a day for Tembi and Sarmasjed Temple; a full day only if you add Bard-e Neshande, which needs a car.
Masjed Soleyman sits in the Khuzestan foothills north-east of Ahvaz, in the oil belt where Iran's first commercial well was drilled. The draw is small and old: the Tembi quarter, the Sarmasjed terrace and temple in the north-east, and the Temple of Bard-e Neshande further out. Sights are close together, so half a day works; a full day covers the outlying temple and a meal.
